BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)– LSU star Angel Reese also known as “Bayou Barbie” hosted a “Back to School Giveback Block Party” on Sunday, Sept. 24. The party took place at McKinley Elementary School, 575 W. Roosevelt. Street. School supplies were donated to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System through the Angel C. Reese Foundation. According to EBR Schools, “notebooks, pens, pencils, backpacks, and more” were included in the donation.

The Angel C. Reese Foundation held its inaugural "Back-to-School Giveback Block Party" Saturday at Reese's alma mater, St. Frances Academy, in Baltimore.

On Saturday, Reese donated $12,000 to her former high school, St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, to cover tuition expenses for a member of the school’s girls basketball team.
